The much anticipated English remake of the infamous Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits our screens in December. For hardcore Steig Larsson fans, the Hollywood version will have a lot to live up to; Noomi Rapace was outstanding at playing Lisbeth Salander a deeply disturbed character that combined both hardened yet vulnerable qualities. In the remake Daniel Craig plays workaholic journalist Mikael Blomkvist and relatively unknown actress Rooney Mara will don the gothic chic look as Lisbeth.

Swedish casual style gives way to a much higher fashion Bondesque look in the remake as Mikael Blomkvist’s wardrobe gets a serious overhaul with sharp suits and the occasional casual knit. It won’t be long before the girls are investing in an oversized leather jacket and multiple piercings in homage to the enigmatic Lisbeth Salander.

Hollywood certainly appears to inject a touch of glamour and sophistication in the highly acclaimed Swedish film. We can only wait with baited breath for December.
