A new year in fashion retail means a host of new faces and wonderful new designs. This season is no different and our SS12 range is offering an exciting group of talented designers, all with their own unique pieces to keep your fashion taste buds buzzing!

Launched only in July 2008, Current/Elliott has an international following due to its vintage inspired fits and uniquely worn washes. Quickly establishing themselves as an all American heritage brand, Current/Elliott inject contemporary print and colour to classic design. Current/Elliott jeans feature an exclusive waistband in order to be pulled either high or low, while jackets are styled to look shrunken and fitted. Isn’t it about time you updated your denim?

2nd Day is the sister collection of uber-successful Danish brand Day Birger et Mikkelsen. Originally described as having a contemporary bohemian vibe accompanied by elements of twenties glamour, the new sub-label, 2nd Day, is a sexier and more exciting branch to their brand. Inspired by founder Keld Mikkelsen’s daughter, the range reflects a youthful feel with rock chick edge whilst retaining the artistic style synonymous with Day Birger et Mikkelsen. With an eclectic mix of urban pieces, soft tailoring and intricate detail and as a younger, fresher and exciting branch to the Day Birger et Mikkelsen brand, 2nd Day is sure to be a hit.

T by Alexander Wang
A native Californian designer, Alexander Wang has created a modern, edgy brand that beautifully draws on the cool downtown style of New York. Living in Manhattan, which is also home to his design studio and first flagship store that opened in Soho in March 2011, Wang’s label is devoted to his signature sleek and classic look. Drawing inspiration from the likes of French chic, rock grunge and ‘ready to wear’ fashion, Wang finishes off his awarded tailoring with a slouchy, ‘rolled-out-of-bed’ edge.
T by Alexander Wang is his diffusion line, launched in 2009, that has won an equally impressive following for its sleek laid-back basic trends. The collection’s slouchy pants, relaxed tees and draped cardigans would provide key edges to any urban style.

Signature to his edgy, somewhat masculine womenswear designs, Wang’s spring/summer collection for 2012 embodies a clean, sporty but chic style. The main colour focuses are on the classic and striking whites, sophisticated cements, as well as the interesting introduction of powdery peaches and lemongrass, Wang himself proclaiming that, “They wanted colour, they got colour!”

Marc Cain
The SS12 collection from Marc Cain is set to be a massive hit this season, the brand just never fails to impress and the new range is no different.

Set into two collections including the Marc Cain mainline and Marc Cain Sports, the collections offer both dress up and dress down pieces. Colour is an obvious inspiration to the collection and bold tones are used on everything from short sleeve biker jackets through to beautiful floral printed tops and cropped pant suits.

As expected from a spring/summer collection there is a lot of light denim, canvas and cotton drill evident in jackets, skirts and the staple chino shorts, whilst a quirky mix of fabrics such as light knits coupled with fine silk add an extra dimension. Leather is also a key material, featured on suede skirts and gorgeous patent leather brogues.
