In a follow up to our recent travel special on Jaipur and Holi, the festival of colour, this amazing video has emerged showing the celebration.
The festival celebrates harvest and fertility by the throwing of brightly coloured powdered paint called gulal to disguise all levels of status, age and caste. It’s a time for fun, hope and equality where the whole country gets involved, and throwing paint at complete strangers is entirely normal.
