Everybody’s worst nightmare is being attacked and not being able to defend yourself, and fashion moguls SHOWstudio recent release, Get Back, Stay Back aims to demonstrate to women everywhere how to defend themselves using Krav Maga, a self defence system used by the Israeli defence forces.
Captured by fashion photographer Nick Knight and starring supermodel Lara Stone, the short film focuses on defence whilst wearing couture from fashion giants including Chanel, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren styled by Carine Roitfeld. In Octave Uzanne’s La Femme à Paris, a woman’s clothing is described as ”offensive armour” but in reality, seldom provides protection against violence in a modern world, and especially not the fur, heels and jewels of evening wear couture.
