Just as it had been announced that the ‘Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty’ exhibition set an attendance record over the weekend, the house’s Fall 2011 advertisement campaign has well and truly landed. As of Sunday night, more than 582,000 people had seen the ‘Savage Beauty’ show, beating any previous records for a fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. The ad was photographed by David Sims and features Raquel Zimmermann wearing the mind-blowing creations from Sarah Burton’s second solo collection for the brand.
